When we are in our good times, we all assume it will last forever. The words “good times” simply doesn’t refer to moments or conditions. It may be applicable to wide ranges of phenomenon… from relationship between people to the events we have cherished. Then again the picture I wanted to draw thus far is in no way the total picture could be drawn or envisaged.
Our life is undeniably complex with plethora of both defined and undefined interactions. Some of these are willingly developed, while others are a manifestation of luck. Sometimes we’re privileged for no reason. Sometimes we’re privileged with fortunes which we don’t deserve. Whether there is a reason or not, whether we deserve it or not, we all audaciously enjoy the fruits of being fortunate and expect it to be continued. To add spice to the curry, we shamelessly yet eloquently forget the fact that without proper nourishment our fortune will annihilate in the limitless boundary of space & time. And yes, the realization comes to us when the final stanza is being versed irreversibly. I would like to say in the voice of Mos Def (Six Days of Remix, Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift Soundtrack), “Tomorrow never comes until it’s too late… ”
Our life and interactions are not merely random events, they have purposes. Whether we rip the benefit of what we have is a matter of making the (theoretically) correct choices at the correct moments and in the correct time frame. There is no point in blaming destiny for losing something valuable but unattended or un-nurtured or unappreciated…. even underappreciated. Gifts are taken away from the undeserved… for some the event is scheduled earlier, while for others it’s momentarily late. And those who are smart learn from the mistakes by the individuals around and their consequences.
Destiny is what you build, Luck is what you achieve and Life is the integration of our actions and their consequences.

This post was scheduled to be posted on 18th February 2008. But I forgot to finish. I think it still requires the final touch. But remembering the ancient Chinese adage,”If you wait for the perfect book, you can never publish.” I’ve decided to post it.
