Control Panel

Deciding what is the best for people and forcing that is one of the very first characteristics of any authoritative regime. Another feature is they rarely trust people without uniform.

Couple of days back my brother was reading the newspaper. He was commenting on a news about telecommunication sector. Most probably the chairman of BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Board) said, no more mobile phone operator will be given license, when someone asked, “Why?” He answered,” There are already many operators, new operator wont be able to make profit.” Well, this is one of the funniest logic I’ve ever heard. Is it a job of government to determine whether a business has a potential to make profit or not? In this country, whoever comes to power becomes stupid!!!

Yesterday, another news came… BTRC decided to set up certain regulations for different mobile operators… BTRC decided call rate can neither be less than Tk 0.25/min nor greater than Tk 2.00/min… there was a whole bunch of rules… good… great… now the government decides the call rate… tomorrow she will decide another…

Today’s news… Some Major General was appointed as the head of BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board.) No comments

Reflection of The Story…

Reflection of The Story...

One’s life philosophy isn’t simply an ideology; it is also reflection of his/her story of life.

Our life builds on memories of past, events that have stamped its permanent presence in our life. Each and every day we face newer situations, we meet new peoples with even newer views and ideologies. We are not only affected simply by their presence in our life but also by their views, nature, lifestyle, choice, preference and so forth.

Generally one’s basic life philosophy doesn’t change much… unless something drastic happens in life… we refer to these focal points as turning points of our life. Whether one confesses or not, we all have turning points. And sometimes we have more than one.

A kid sees everything through a coloured glass… likewise adults also do. But the difference is the glass is differently coloured. Nothing is more shocking than realizing what you believed or what you wanted is not perfect… but then again you learn to accept the fact that nothing is perfect. It’s like metamorphosis of insect larvae… shedding of coloured glasses…

As a human being we all see dreams… life teaches us to accept the reality…

Can Run… Can Hide… But Can’t Escape

Can Run

I had something in my mind to write down, but right now not feeling like writing… may be some time later. Instead I think I can say something about what I’m listening to. Right now its Enrique Iglesias’s Escape. I don’t really know why, this song appears to be so refreshing to me… whenever I hear, I feel so good… doesn’t make any sense though… Enrique is my favourite artist, Escape is the best. Below goes the music video and lyric.

Escape
Enrique Iglesias

You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape my love,
You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape my love.

Here’s how it goes
You and me, up and down
But MAYBE this time we’ll get it right
Worth a fight
‘Cause love is something you cant SHAKE
When it breaks (When it breaks)
All it takes is some tryin’

If you feel like leaving
I’m not gonna BEG YOU TO stay
‘Cause soon you’ll be finding
You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love
You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love

So, if you go
You should know (you should know)
It’s hard to just forget the past
So fast
It was good (it was good)
It was bad but it was real
And that’s all you have
In the end our love matters (Oh no no no yeah)

If you feel like leaving
I’m not gonna BEG YOU TO (I won’t BEG YOU TO stay)
Cuz soon you’ll be finding
You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love
You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love

(You can run, you can run)
(You can hide, you can hide)
But you can’t escape my love (my love)

You can run (you can run)
You can hide (you can hide)
But you can’t escape my love

Here’s how it goes
All it takes is some tryin’ (Baby you can run)

If you feel like leavin’
I’m not gonna beg you to stay (I won’t beg you to stay)
Cuz soon you’ll be finding (you’ll be finding)
You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love (Can’t escape my love)

If you feel like leavin’
I’m not gonna beg you to stay (You can’t escape my love)
Cuz soon you’ll be finding
You can run, you can hide,
But you can’t escape my love

You can run
You can run
You can run (Baby you can run, baby you can hide)
You can run (But you can’t escape my love)
You can run (Baby you can run, baby you can hide)
You can run (But you can’t escape my love)
You can run (Baby you can run, baby you can hide)
You can run (But you can’t escape my love)
You can run
You can run

You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love

You can run, you can hide
But you can’t escape my love.

I think I like the music more than the lyric .

Not Just Answering the Questions...

2018 BST
07-07-2007

Attending an exam is not just simply going to the exam hall, answering the questions and returning back. There are so many lessons to be learnt. It is like a life within a life.

When you sit for an exam, you need a preparation. Likewise everything in life requires preparation.

In an exam, you can’t just sit down and keep writing whatever comes up. You have a time limit. You’ve to finish. Likewise everything in life has to be done within the time available for it.

You need set short term goals in both life and exam. You can’t simply plan to complete your exam within three or four hours of allocated time. If this turns out to be your case, then its quite common for you to answer whole bunch of questions (in extreme cases this can account for even 40% of your answers) in last half an hour. Similarly you can’t simply plan to be like Albert Einstein (I prefer to write the name of Linus Pauling instead, but I think most of my readers don’t know much about him) or Adam Smith without having any intermediate goals. The only thing different between life and exam with this regard is you know when your exam will end, but you have no idea about your lifespan.

A good exam requires careful planning. Sometimes things go great even without plan. But remember, that’s the exception proving the rule. Similarly your life also needs a plan. Without plan, you may do great in one step, but overall, unless you’re quite a lucky person, things are bound to be worse.

Answering question and getting mark requires a balance. You can’t go for the best answer in one question and write down others in jumble. Correspondingly in your life, you can’t exchange all the goods for one single best step. A balance should be kept everywhere.

In an exam hall, even if you’ve everything planned, things might go awry. And the most important thing is to tackle the situation. In life, there will be millions of times when things will go desperately wrong… all you need is face it.

No matter whether things are going good or bad, an exam is bound to end. No matter how much light blaze your day, no matter how much darkness masks your morning, it is going to end… today… tomorrow… or the day after tomorrow.

Life has its problems… it has things to cheer as well… so just…

go through it.
