Bye Bye for Arg

It’s the penalty shoot-out at the end and Argentina lost the game. Rather Germany won it.

Germany deserved the win anyway. The way Argentina played after 1-0 lead, its a total shame.

Lets look forward for a good worldcup. Waiting to see couple of good quarters: England-Portugal & Brazil-France.

Friendship to me

Personally I don’t like copying from another place and posting in my blog. But I think these quotes are wonderful and fit my thoughts and feelings.

“A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself.”

“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value; rather is one of those things that give value to survival.”
- C. S. Lewis

“Friendship is always a sweet responsibilty, never an oppourtunity.”
- Kahil Gibran

“I no doubt deserved my enemies, but I don’t believe I deserved my friends.”
- Walt Whitman

“When friends stop being frank and useful to each other, the whole world loses some of its radiance.”
- Anatole Broyard

“The secret to friendship is being a good listener.”

“You cannot say you’ve lost a friend. If a friendship is capable of ending, it is because it never existed.”

“True friendship is sitting together in silence and feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.”

They are from the following page

http://www.friendship.com.au/quotes/

(For some quotes there was no name provided whose quote it was.)

It is no wonder that we all have many friends. But do we feel in the same way for all??? To be honest, for me, the aforementioned quotes are applicable for only one. When s/he wasn’t in life, I never felt like I miss someone or something. Right now, there is no way I can imagine without him/her. I myself even don’t know what s/he means or how much s/he means to me.

I don’t think there is any wrong in this, everyone has many friends, some of them are good friends, some are more than that, and others are just friends. Everyone has his/her position.

Friendship has no measurable quantity. It’s about feeling, not how long you have known each other.

You’ll only realize the privilege of having friend after having him/her.

Friendship is about sharing those moments which would otherwise be never shared.

It’s all about the caring feeling and the ability to think from other’s point of view.

Friendship is an inspiration, like the only candle in a dark cave.

It’s something that can never be expressed in any language.

To me, sometimes it’s confusion…………

When I was a kid

I spent my early childhood in KSA. It was nice there. We (me, Tanaeem and Dad) went to the mosque for Friday prayer, also went to Mecca generally twice a month. People of that country were amazingly encouraging. They used to appreciate little kid coming for submission to Almighty.

We returned to Bangladesh at 1996. As I was from a religious family, we the little brothers used to go to the nearby mosque, generally for the Friday prayer, later we used to go there regularly.

It was sort of surprising, the way people treated here in this country. They treated as if we, the kids, were unwanted at the mosque. They tended to send us to any extreme corner of a line (qatar) of devotees. Their logic was, if kids standing at the middle of a qatar don’t concentrate (which they take for granted) and make their prayer go astray, then the other devotee’s prayer will not be accepted. I had always problem with this logic.

Like any other human being, kids also have mind. It was such a humiliating feeling, when we had to leave the middle (according to Hadith which has more Swab or reward) simply because we’re little.

If you don’t put your trust to your next generation, they will do the same to you.

NB: The word qatar is Arabic, it stands for lines of devotees during collective prayer at the mosque. Hadith is the words or works or acknowledgements of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It has been somewhat late post, anyway Argentina played great when they defeated Serbia & Montinigro.

Messi, the new sensation, played only last 10/15 minutes. But he showed his class. Made a goal and gave another.

Last night Brazil wasn’t upto the mark, but Brazilian style is really wonderful to see.

Well, congrats to those who have visited since I started this 360 page.

Today the number of visitors crossed 100, the moment I’m writing the actual number is 101.

May be the number is very small, may be its a matter of single click for u all who visited, but for me, every click was an inspiration. As every tick of clock takes time a step ahead, every click was an encouragement for the next post.

Thanks a lot and hope I’ll continue.

Yahoo Mail Beta Vs Live Mail Beta

Lately I’ve got yahoo mail beta. Have been using Live mail beta for quite some time. Thought I can compare these two wonderful new generation mailing service.

The revolution was actually brought by google’s gmail. Google showed what can be done using Ajax. Then yahoo and microsoft both used this. (Well, dont think I’ve learned these, actually Mejho told me, he is a kind of Web-maniac though.)

The 1st thing is u can easily subscribe to msn live mail by going to www.live.com following the relevant link there. (At least stuffs were that easy for me.) For yahoo mail beta, the ball is in yahoo’s court. They will give u and test ur patience Image.

Unlike what u expect from MSN (who has tradiotionally been reluctant in giving space) Live Mail gives u 2G space compared to 1G of yahoo mail beta. For MSN its a huge jump, from 2M to 2G, 1024 fold !!! Amazing, isn’t it???

I dont know what is wrong with Microsoft security checking system, but it takes boringly long time to pass the security checking. Live mail is no different.

Yahoo mail gives a below plain preview of each mail, tabbed mail facility within single mail window, that is u don have to load a new page to compose a new mail or read a mail, its just a tab, which makes this mailing unbelievably fast and furious. I think Live Mail of MSN is lagging behind. They give only the option of only a preview of each mail, though this feature is more advanced compared to yahoo’s. Last time when I logged into Live Mail, they said, there are new features added, but I didn’t check them yet.

Well, at the end I wud prefer Yahoo because it has so many integrated services, like Yahoo Photos, Yahoo Auto, My Web (which I dont actually use), groups, Yahoo Answers, not to mention Y-360. MSN has equivalent to all these, but I’ve started yahoo first, and yahoo has integrated me with it Image.

Thats it for the moment.

Why they do?

Its not quite uncommon news that a student commits suicide just (!!!) because his/her result was below par.

I could never find logic behind these events. ” Whats the point in giving up ur life just for a bad result?” Untill, I’m in such a situation.

Dont get worried, I’m not going to commit suicide, but hell, it feels so bad when u feel u r humiliated by urself. Now I can find the reason.

Its really tough to feel without being in a similar situation.

Argentina Matters ;-)

Argentina matters

There is a strange fight between me and my brother Tanaeem. Historically we’ve always choosen different path Image

He has always been in the Brazilian school, while me being in the Argentinean. Well, its always fun.

Why do I support Argentina?? There is no reason, its just I like them. Unlike many Brazil supporters who support this team because they keep winning. I’m not saying the are a bad team, indeed, the way Brazil plays is quite amazing. Like Australia in cricket.

But I’m not in the group who constantly try to disregard other team. Its just an entertainment, and we shud learn to keep this as an entertainment.

I’m not a great football fan. Nevertheless, I’ll keep my eyes on the blue-white stripes. The mission starts from today against Cote’d'Ivore.

04-06-2006

At the end, the worst session ended. Today was the last exam.

Once there was a bright star in the sky which attracted people’s attention. All of a sudden, the star started downward movement so fast and so quick, only to make spectators stare in wonder. The journey continued still it diminished… there was so many debates about this sudden event, many theories, even more comments… but nobody knew what actually happened apart from the star itself.

The year started in a normal fashion, nothing unusual. I had the confidence which was a continuation of first year. I was bit careless. That costed me so much, may be I’ve to regret for it long time. Should have paid more attention to 201, 203… and all other subjects. The realization didn’t come even after repeated failures and poor performance in midterms. The streak continued.

Once you start doing bad, worse things come more and more quickly, it’s like co-operativity of enzyme. You can not even find a way out of the vicious cycle. For the first time I felt I needed a break and why cricketers take short break when they are in a bad patch. Unfortunately there was no scope.

I had the feeling long before the final exam, but became near sure that the game is already over, a day before the exam started. There were so many things I’d learned within such a short time and to make things even worse I was reading the stuffs for the 1st time.

Well it should be a good lesson for future. But I’ve seen some great faces around who tried to inspire me in every possible way, people like Mustak bhai, Miraj bhai, Babu bhai- I’ll always remember them.

Picture: Australian Captain, Ricky Ponting after losing to Bangladesh, June 18, 2006, Cardiff.

It is always hard to accept defeat, but in life there are ups and downs, zenith and nadir, and you have to learn how to go through different situations. Even harder is the time……… the moment.

You can never feel what I feel unless you’ve been through a similar situation in which I am.

But I’ll be back, because I have to.
